When most people hear the name Fjordsafari, they probably picture high-speed boats gliding across the fjords — and for good reason! But what many don’t know is that Fjordsafari is so much more than just a boat company.
In recent years, we’ve expanded our tour selection to include a variety of land-based adventures. From scenic hikes and historical tours to electric bike rides and snowshoeing, we provide ways for guests to experience Flåm and the stunning surrounding areas — all year round.

HIKES
Waterfall Hike & Stegastein Viewpoint
Daily departures, April–October
This guided hike takes you along an old farm path before coming to the impressive waterfall Turlidfossen. Included in the trip is a stop by the famous Stegastein Viewpoint. This tour is also available as a private tour!
Fjordsafari & Hike
Daily departures, July–August
The best of both worlds! Start your adventure on the fjord with a boat tour and then continue the day with a guided hike to a traditional Norwegian mountain goat farm. Includes a tour of the farm, goat cheese tasting and a delicious lunch prepared with local produce.

Hovdungo - a family and beginner friendly hike with great fjord views
Prest - up for a challenge? Hiking up Mt. Prest can be challenging for many, but you get rewarded with great views over the surrounding mountains and the Aurlandsfjord.
Rimstigen - Rimstigen is the steepest trail in the area with a climb of 720 meters in just over 2km of trail - a challenging hike as you can hear, but great views as a reward!
Aurland cabin hike - a family and beginner friendly hike from Aurland village center up to a little cabin with fjord views. Great for those interested in history, culture and the everyday life in the area.
Brekkefossen - A popular walk starting from Flåm heading to Brekkefossen waterfall. An easy hike with nice views over Flåm, the fjord and the mountains. Join us to get an insight to the local culture, history and life by the fjords!
SNOWSHOE HIKES
Morning & Afternoon Snowshoe Hike
Daily departures, January–March
Explore the peaceful winter landscape on snowshoes with our experienced guides. You’ll enjoy a panorama view of the fjord, the towns of Aurland and Flåm, and surrounding snow-capped peaks. Includes hot beverages and a stop at the famous Stegastein Viewpoint. Perfect for beginners and families! Also available as a private tour!

Private Snowshoe Hike: Vatnahalsen
For those looking for a more exclusive experience, we offer private tours to Vatnahalsen — a remote, winter wonderland among the snow covered mountain tops. A perfect activity for those traveling to Oslo or Bergen the same day by train. Includes a warming bowl of soup in Vatnahalsen Hotel’s cafe.

Electric Bike Tours
