Hike along snowy mountain tops of Flåmsdalen!

Join our afternoon snowshoe hike that takes you above the historic Flåmsdalen valley, perfect for those traveling to Oslo or Bergen the same day by train.

Meet your guide by 14.10 at Flåm train station and be ready for 14.30 train departure. If you’re continuing your journey after the tour, feel free to take your luggage with you – we’ll assist with storage while you enjoy the experience!

The adventure begins with a scenic ride on the iconic Flåm Railway, bringing you to Vatnahalsen station at 867 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, you'll be introduced to snowshoeing and given a fun, hands-on tutorial on how to navigate with the gear. From there, you will set off into the beauty of the winter landscapes while learning the history behind stunning nature and the culture in the area. After the hike warming bowl of soup will be waiting in Vatnahalsen Hotel’s cafe (soup of the day).

Finish your day with a train ride to your next destination – whether you’re heading to Oslo, Bergen, or returning to Flam, the choice is yours! The train up to Myrkdalen takes 5minutes, leaving Vatnahalsen at 17.26.

What to expect: During this one-hour hike, you'll cover approximately 1.3 km with an elevation gain of 50 meters, offering an enjoyable experience at a comfortable pace.
