The adventure begins with a drive from Flåm, taking part of a well known Snow road. Once passed viewpoint Stegastein, the trailhead will be soon reached where an off-beaten track leads up the ridge of Mt.Prest.

The difficulty of this hike is moderate with an exposed terrain on the top.
Upon reaching the cairn at 1,363 meters, you can enjoy panoramic views of Aurlandsfjord and surrounding landscape. This area, known as Røyrgrind, is where many hikers choose to conclude their ascent. The impressive cairn features a box with a notebook, allowing you to leave a record of your visit. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh mountain air, savor a Norwegian hiking treat, and capture a fjord view selfie before retracing your steps back to Flåm.
