Waterfall Hike & Stegastein Viewpoint
Explore the fjord, mountains and valleys and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of Aurland! This tour offers a perfect mix of iconic sights and authentic local experiences - a scenic drive to Stegastein viewpoint and a pleasant hike to Turlifossen/ Turli waterfall.
With a friendly guide and a small group, you'll explore the area in a more personal, crowd-free way. Our morning and afternoon departures makes it easy to combine this tour with other activities during the day.
The tour starts and ends in Flåm, however, we will gladly meet you in Aurland if that is more suitable.
Tour description:
The winding, yet scenic road up to the Stegastein Viewpoint will be taken by car. The viewpoint is placed 650 meters above the sea level, giving you a chance to experience panoramic fjord views from above. A perfect time to take in the fresh air and make that perfect photo!
During this tour you will also get to experience a peaceful hike along an old farm path which is located down in the valley (trailhead reached by car). With a bit of luck, you could meet some friendly farm animals on the way!
While hiking, our guide will share their knowledge on Norwegian countryside, mountain farm life and history of the region.
When reaching the waterfall you might get a misty shower - during spring and summer months, Turlifossen can often reveal its sheer power as the water flowing through the river is fed by melting ice and snow.
Our schedule for this trip is flexible as most adventures are susceptible to a variety of conditions and changing factors such as weather, road and trail conditions, and guest abilities.
We walk at a relaxing pace; however moderate physical fitness level is recommended for the uphill hike.

You’ll need sturdy hiking shoes and clothes suited for outdoors, rain attire if needed. Discover helpful hints and advice.
